As a professional speaker since 2001, Bridgett McGowen has shared the stage with prominent figures such as former President Barack Obama, Deepak Chopra, Oprah Winfrey, Shonda Rhimes, Kim Coles, Amy Cuddy, Stacey Abrams, Mel Robbins, Dr. Mae Jemison, Common, Matthew McConaughey, Venus Williams, and Katie Couric—just to name a few.

The University of Texas at Austin bestowed upon her the prestigious Master Presenter Award, while One Woman in Canada honored her with not one, but two Fearless Woman Awards. Bridgett's remarkable journey continues to be punctuated by victories, including a 2023 Stevie Award in the Best Female Entrepreneur category, and her publishing company, Press 49, clinched a 2023 Award of Distinction from The Communicator Awards for its exceptional publication of her second edition of Show Up and Show Out. In 2021, Press 49 also secured a coveted Stevie® Award in the Startup of the Year - Business Services Industries category at the 18th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

Bridgett's impact extends worldwide, having conducted hundreds of presentations for thousands of ambitious individuals positioned all around the globe. Her expertise has made her a presentation skills coach for SkillCycle, a communication expert for TONE Networks, a former member of Forbes Coaches Council, and a contributor to Medium and Entrepreneur online magazine. In 2023, she proudly graduated from both the esteemed Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program as well as Nasdaq Milestone Circles, and she earned a Certificate in Women's Entrepreneurship from Cornell University in 2021. Plus, in 2020, she launched her five-star rated podcast, Own the Microphone, and in 2024, she launched a second five-star rated podcast, Convos on Confidence. With both bachelor's and master's degrees under her belt, she has taught at institutions such as Prairie View A&M University, the second oldest institution of higher learning in the state of Texas; Lone Star College System in Houston, Texas; and University of Phoenix.
